Dyno'd my B20
If anyone wants to host th graph, I'll email you the scan.
Here's the lowdown...
B20 block, 85mm bore, B17A(81.4mm crank), custom Crower rods
Endyn ported B18C1 cylinder head, JUN Stage 2 intake and exhaust cams,
SMSP header and 2.5" exhaust, RC 310cc injectors, Hondata Stage 2
Displacement: 1847cc
Static compression: 12.3:1
Peak HP: 212.5@8200rpm
Peak TQ: 143.8 @7200rpm
That 1.7 crank is no bull. Below VTEC, torque is FLAT as a board. It's a solid 130ft/lbs. from 2500-5500. In VTEC the torque keeps picking up until 7500, then gradually flattens, and by 8500, it's just starting to come back down toward 130ft/lbs. again.
R/S ratio is awesome, but the real reason I did this was to get lots of flat torque up top, especially in conjunction w/ my SMS header.
The RC 310cc injectors are getting pretty worked. They are almost maxed out. Time for me to get some 370s or 440s(undecided).
Bottom line: in a 92 CX, this thing BOOKS!!

howmuch did that set-up run you?? Nice numbers. By the way what tranny are you using?
P.S. I emailed you about a week ago and no return yet. Did you get it. It was about parts for an EG and swap stuff.
Anywho....good work

I don't have the ATS on this motor. I am running the ATS in my Integra.
This is in my Civic. I am running a 99 Civic SI tranny.
Traction is a bitch.

Damn..nice flat torque line Mike
I wish you would get the Winpep files from the dyno..Id like to plot mine against yours. I wonder what I could bring my 206 HP to with some JUN2s

Re: Dyno'd my B20 (HX_Guy)
Val, the compression is 12.3:1, and I am running fairly mild timing maps on the Hondata with 15 degrees base timing.
93 octane, no detonation at ALL.
Notice how linear it is? Stock idle and linear as B's.
Cha-ching!...

Re: Dyno'd my B20 (Mike K)
Damn you people and your 91 octane!!!
We only have 91 octane here..Im at 15 degree base timing as well..any higher and it detonates. Even now, in high gears at low RPMs it detonates like a **** (5th gear @ 2500 RPMs + throttle = BAD)
I might try lower timing on the dyno next time..maybe it will like it.
Mike, how rich is the A/F mixture? Mine is around 12.5:1 in the high RPMs, lots of black smoke out the exhuast.

Re: Dyno'd my B20 (HX_Guy)
When I rolled in, the A/F was real lean.. like 14.3:1
I barely made any changes on the motor itself. Just advanced the intake cam 2 degrees. Most of the HP was made by adding fuel.
Right now I am at 13.4:1 A/F in VTEC. Any more fuel and it started to lose power. Seems like 13.4 is the magic number.
I think I am gonna go w/the RC 440cc injectors, and size 'em down on the Hondata system. But, as for now.. cal pulls hard as . I am happy with it.

Re: Dyno'd my B20 (AssPenny)
I am riding on 195/50R15 Bridgestone Potenza RE71, and I got a spool in the transmission. It hooks.. but it's hard in 1st gear regardless.
I'll be changing my axles every month probably. Yes, it's a street car.. but it'll see some track duty.

[QUOTE]Damn you people and your 91 octane!!!
On the east coast:
Amoco Ultimate is 93
Sunoco Ultra is 94!
or Sunoco GT race unleaded is 100
and Sunoco GT Plus is 104 unleaded and is oxygenated but about $4.50/gal

Re: Dyno'd my B20 (94goldjungsr)
I think its your ECUs fault Sam...Locahs seems to LOVE timing! The Hondata chip he made me was detonating like CRAZY!
You should try my Skunk2 chip I have just laying around.

Re: Dyno'd my B20 (HX_Guy)
sounds good. we'll have to do that. would your friend let you borrow the timing light for an afternoon? Id like to get my timing to the highest i possibly can without detonating... but im afraid to with it without a light.
