Default H series to B series adapater Plate ..The new ERA **H22 CRX**

A lot of people have had an interest in this swap and plate. Im going to make a write up for everyone to see what went into making this car happen and what it takes for someone to build anothere one. I have some recent pics of the car with the new motor in. Enjoy, if anyone is interested in a plate let me know. This weekend im going to go to the track with the car and see what it runs (1/8 miles ) Im going to have some take some Video, I will post it once I learn how.

Is that in a CRX or a hatch? That front end doesn't look like a CRX... Either way, it's still a bad-*** swap!

Would the "Alpine" in your sig indicate the town just east of El Cajon?

Ok, To answer some questions that I have been asked.

Im using a H22 Midshaft, with teg axles. Im using a HCP B series mount kit, with a spacer kit that I made for them. Im still using the stock EF radiator (works great), the harness that I used was my stock obd0 harness and just extended some wires. Im running a JDM P13 with a OBD0- OBD1 conversion harness.

I will be the first to say that your work is very nice and just the way in general that you have fostered this idea from design to end -- this is what drives this board and the Honda-Community foward. If I ever wanted to drop an H series into my sedan, you would be the first one I contacted.

Again, thanks for all your work and keep it up.

I stuck with the JDM Y1 LSD cable tranny.

I didnt want to have to run hydro on the car. Less work and less problems for me to deal with. As for the crossmember im using one that I designed and made. I do not know if a stock crossmember will fit. I will see if I still have my old one and I will see if it clears the header.

Quick question which I do not know has been covered in your other threads -

The crossmember in question, would a JimFab work as well or better in clearance, or do you think that there would still be header contact or other bad things along the way?

The crossmember that I made for my car is a a Jimfab style I will take some pictures of clearance and of the crossmember itself for you tomr, But my CM has plenty of clearance so I would assume that the Jimfab would work as well.

How much of an angle are your axles? Mine are at a pretty good angle. One time the cv joint siezed up and sent me across the median into oncoming traffic at about 110 mph, luckily it didn't kill me or anyone else and didn't mess my car up to bad. My motor sits a little to far forward so I adjusted the caster by shortening the radius rods and bringing the wheels a little farther forward, I haven't had a problem since.

What is going on Don, I talked to you before about this and you said your car was going on ebay but then it got stolen and you said you were getting out of the Honda business, but then you post that your car was sold. Something seems really fishy around here.

Hey Allmotor....I'M NOT attempting to stir up any annimosity here but I can "QUOTE" from your previous threads/posts where you stated that your CRX was stolen/sold....or something of that nature....

sorry man....going to stick with the local boys for sales/product support for my H to B series tranny plate....KS-R

price fluctuation has been HUGE too...I remember when you were trying to sell a package deal for $650 American.....with bolts, flywheel spacer, plate, etc...

although your $360 now is a good price

I wish you luck

have just seen way too many inconsistencies in this whole deal with your plate/car from previous threads....not sure how to take that

good luck

one thing i thought of last night was the axles....not so much the position or angle..but which ones?? do you make your own and sell them with the package? or is it just the plate?

The hcp mounts he used position the tranny so I assume the axles are pretty straight.

Also I read in one of his past threads that with the b-series tranny the entire swap was around 10 lbs more than a gsr swap.

Look at the front bumper between the headlights.
Hatches don't have that feature.

His axles are at whatever angle the HCP mounts put them at.
He's using a B-series tranny and axles you would use for a B motor swap.
He could put a B motor in there and the axles would be in the same position.

The spacers that I mentioned was for the passenger mount and rear tranny mount. I will get some pics of asap.

This is the whole story on the car so people dont think im a flake or anything. I sold to a member on here "xeugep". He bought the car then wanted some extra things done to it. New manifold, 6 puck clutch, flywheel and pressure plate. I took it to a local shop (GPS Motorsports). The car was stolen from the shop along with 3 other cars. I got the car back 4 days later stripped of a motor and tranny. I friend of mine sold me his motor so I could get the car back on the road. I hope this answer some people questions and there doubts. Contact the buyer he was a cool guy and felt really bad that this all happened.

I would liek to just keep this thread about the plate and not bashing on me and the things that I have done. I have never dealth with either BlackCRX or 1250b18c5 so please dont put me down. If I have a misunderstanding im sorry, but it seems that everything that I do you have to say something bad in return.

End of the Drama. I just want it so everyone can do this same swap if they want to for min money.

Hey AllMotorCRX161, how you do?

I just started talking to AllMotor threw IM there a day ago about the H22 Crx swap, so far he's been very helpful

Wow, the doesn't look like much clearance to the ground? Or is the picture decieving? 2" max?
