205/50/15 or 195/55/15 will work. 205/55/15 is too big. Some people prefer 195/55/15 on a stock 15x6 rim (I prefer 205/50/15). Either size is fine.

I don't have an EM1 but feel free to look in my gallery for pictures of my Integra on 205/50/15. Some people prefer 195/55/15, I prefer 205 width tires with the slightly wider tread. Slightly decreased ride quality because of the shorter profile is the tradeoff though.
As far as tires: what do you want: all-season or summer tires? I just got some Kumho Ecsta SPT from tirerack.com, it came out to about $320 total, and needless to say I am VERY satisfied.

711s are one of the worst summer tires out there. Spend an extra $10 or so a tire and get some DZ101s.

195/50/15 or 205/50/15 are both acceptable for a 92-95 Civic. 205/50/15 is slightly too big, which isn't too big of a problem. I have ran both sizes on my old EH2.
I was just seeing the if OP bought 195/50/15 for his EM1, which would be too small.

You bought tires that are too small. Consequently ride quality and speedo reading will be affected. Who told you to buy that size?

well king i think you made the right choice for your vehicle because of the rubbing issue only..........195/50r15 maybe to small but in your case that is what you needed for clearance issues.....205/50r15 would've been better but obviously they rub on your vehicle......how much did you lower your car out of curiosity????????

exactly... the 195's fit the rims just fine. it's lowered considerably over 3 inches. clearance is much better. still the ocassional rub but nonetheless alot better than the 205/55's. 5mm's less in both demensions is not going to make a big difference in performance
