Simple questions regarding offset/lug nuts/etc...
Hi guys! i just got a quick important question i want to ask you all, I just purchased a set of 19's 19x8.5+42 offset rims! i own a 09 honda accord coupe! and i was just wondering if i needed to switch the studs to longer studs due to a lower offset compared to my factory rims offset? when i put my after markets on i notice theres less tread on the studs for me to tighten the bolts onto and i just want to make sure with a 42mm offset is safe to run on my factory wheel studs? thanks

Re: Simple questions regarding offset/lug nuts/etc...
1. The offset won't effect the length of stud required to clear the wheel hub. So, no, you don't need longer studs. The only time this would need to be addressed, is if you want to rub shim-style wheel spacers.
2. You need to run the CORRECT lug nut for the application. Factory lug nuts have a ball seat, and the majority of aftermarket wheels run conical seats.
