Painting chrome wheels??
I just got a brand new set of motegi MR7s for 180 bucks but they are chrome :[ Im not a fan of chrome at all but the wheels themselves look pretty good and it was too good of a deal to pass up, but i was wondering if it is possible to paint them a different color? I know you cant paint other wheels pretty easy but since the chrome is an actual metal plate instead of just paint on the wheel can you still just sand it down and paint over it? Or another thing i was wondering is if there is some way to do a transparent black coat and make them more of a black chrome?
Sorry if there is already a topic on this, i searched and couldnt find anything that helped much.

hm.. so its probably not something you can just do in your garage is it?</TD></TR></TABLE>you probably can just sand it a lil bit but then if that chrome decides to pit underneath one day then good luck w/ that and as toyomatt said earlier..i doubt the paint will stick very well on the plating..

that would be one of the methods but usually they are dipped in some type of chemical bath:
