which LUG NUTS to buy? Muteki or Gorilla?
ok - so I am not the new owner of Brewer's, err, 9civichatch3's spoons... ;-)
now I need to get some good lug nuts to go with them.
I was looking at some Muteki or Gorilla black closed-end 12x1.5 lugs.
Are the Muteki and Gorilla lugs the same?
I want something that looks like this:
http://www.turbomagazine.com/f....html
is this what the Mutekis or Gorillas look like installed?
unfortunately, there do not seem to be any tuner shops local that carry this stuff so I can check them out for myself before I get them.
thanks for your help

Honestly, when buying 3rd party lugnuts, you want to pay special attention to the quality of the special tool (if applicable) that is used to get them off.
I had some on my WRX back in the day and the tool was awful, good for like 4 uses and then it had been stripped out of recognition, creating something of a problem, lol.
Best of luck. I've never bought either of those two particular brands.

I can vouch for the Muteki lugs, great quality and they are a branch of Project kics. Just dont ever use a impact gun on them and you should be fine.

Go with the Muteki lugnuts. Gorilla lug nuts are much more commonly sold and thus much easier to remove by a thief. Even I have like 3 Gorilla 'keys' in my junk drawer, lol.

Actually, I ended up buying some Muteki lugs AND a set of Bull Locks.
One unique Bull Lock per wheel should do the trick...

I've had my Muteki lugnuts for about four years now...never broke one. I do a lot of wheel rotating. I also have four extra because they come in a pack of 20, (compensates for 4 and 5 luggers).
Just tq them correctly, (75ft/lbs) everytime and you're golden.
