Default HELP ME...

I ran over a screw, the screw is in my tire so far that it seals the hole when I unscrew it, it leaks air. I want to try and fix this myself. Any hints? Thanks

There's a better solution: patch with a plug. Patches don't last too long and they make these patches with plugs in 'em that combines the best attributes of both.

Here are some links to read what I mean:

http://www.mz3.net/articles/156.html

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...id=77

http://www.cartalk.com/content....html

http://www.patchrubber.com/tir....html

http://www.safercar.gov/Tires/...r.htm

There you go. If it's a big enough nail, always use a combo patch/plug.

easiest and most effective would simply be to go to a shop and have them fix it.
the Discount Tire by my house does patches for free, assuming they arent in the sidewall or on the circumferrential edge.
