240/50/17 tires fit 17x7.5 wheels?
i got a pair of tires from a buddy of mine, and was wondering if there would be a problem putting them on my 17inch wheels.

Holy carp are those tires nothing even close to the correct size for that car.

Yup, those tires will definitely rub like the dickens, especially on a lowered car. 
Get 205/40-17 tires for your car (and yes, they can be mounted on 17x7.5 wheels).
