welding seat rails

welding seat rails
i have a 91 EF civic hatch im trying to swap integra DA seats into it im not going to do the seat pan swap, i want to use the civics stock seat rails and weld them to the integras seats. the problem is im not sure how to go about this is there a DIY for this or can anybody explain to me how i may accomplish this.. thank you in advance.

It is not advisable to weld the rails directly to the seat pans. You are better off using the rails to match the seat and then welding the brackets you need to match the floor pan. That is much easier. You can built the brackets you need to attach it to the floor pan from .125 steel.

I used prelude seats. I ground off the mounting brackets where the bolt go through the seats. The used the ones that matched up with the new prelude seats. Welded them on the new seats and Also welded a nut to the floor.
