Type R sunroof removal
I picked up an ITR shell for cheap so i could not pass up on the deal. I picked up a new roof panel and am in the process of putting it in... I am having some trouble seperating the peices from each other. I have drilled all the spot welds out and i still have trouble seperating them. Does anyone have any pointers or has anyone done anything like this befor?

Some dealers installed sunroofs in ITR's as a dealer installed option.

Were there some door sill or VIN modifiers done with the work, or some exclusive ability to identify this? If there were any, then it must be rare....I certainly doubt that it is the case here. Dude's get beat on deals all the time, and this sounds like one of those times.

hey man, sry didnt see this come back up. Ill look again, it came from a bodyshop friend. it was a 2 part black epoxy. to clarify, after i removed the old panel, i ground down everything so it was clean, primed it all. then i ground the primer where i was going to weld, spotwelded the panel in, primed the welds. then i sealed it all around with the black epoxy and then i installed the glass and trim. it was really no big thing, ignor the haters

Re: sunroof removal
Did you successfully finish your roof skin conversion, Because i'd like to know what the outcome was.
I haven't gotten into it yet but I have done a full radiator support before so I have some experience in removing a panel held in by spot welds.
I'm not worried about removing the roof skin. How was sealing the new one? From your experience would you be able to give me some insight on what you wish you did better or was there no problems after etc.
thanks
