requesting pics/info on custom diy motor mounts
ok so I have a problem, about 2 years ago I bought a manifold for my car used and a real good deal might not look 10/10 but looks like it will perform like any other ramhorn.
'
anyways heres the deal I am trying to run a 3" down pipe but my motor mount is in the way, as it is now I cannot have any exhaust.
so I am trying to fab up a custom mount that will allow me to run the dp on the passenger side under the tranny.
I am wondering if I can use the prothane 19-606 for a motor mount bushing or if theres a better product/method out there for bushings on custom mounts
also if you have suggestions on how I should re design the mount please let me know
any help would be awesome there are very few resources for these type of things in alaska
here it is without any mount

Have you tried to flip the turbo? That way the down pipe comes out on the otherside? Just a tought.

you can get rod ends just about anywhere, but you should get decent ones for an engine mount. you can get a male and female one and just thread them together, or you could get two males and thread them into a sleeve... several ways you could do it. the cheaper ones break because of stress points in the casting. here are some good ones:

tim is a great guy to deal with.

Not being funny, but most people do not run the front engine stabilizer on turbo hondas. Just buy poly inserts for the other three mounts, or fill them with window sealant for a cheaper alternative. Just an idea

Re: requesting pics/info on custom diy motor mounts
I was thinking I would prefer something like a camber kit is built. A nice threaded sleve in the middle and two bushings
like these here

then I would have tabs welded to a plate that can bolt onto the crossmember and the block
I just cant seem to find threaded joints pipe whatever you want to call it short enough
