Sorry dude, I just got it today before work. Havn't even fired it up yet. Still gotta install the spool of wire and flip the drive rolls.

WE have that same machine and it is AMAZING!!!!!
Ive done a bunch of cages with it and welded everything from 3/8 plate to 18g. sheet with it with nothing but flawless results!
I know youll love it.

I'm digging the compressor "stations" ... I'm doing that to my garage next as a true standup compressor is next on my list. I currently have a portable 33 gallon unit that runs almost non-stop if I'm running my mini diegrinder (porting on heads).

nice welder.
put some rubber feet under your your compressor tho. will cut down on noise. also put a flexible hose between the compressor and the hardpipe on the wall.

i don't get much vibration from the compressor without the rubber feet. i've been looking for a flex hose but couldn't find one here in oregon. i was gonna make one but it's so low on my priority list that i forgot about it. do you know where i can get one so i don't have to make it? my air line was actually temporary but i've been lazy and never got around to putting in the permanent one which will run up the wall to the ceiling and across the wall at a slight decent and then back down and tee'd off to a ball valve drain and regular. maybe i'll try the rubber under the feet later and see what happens. it's a 2 stage so it's already pretty quiet.

We just use a small section of good air hose between the compressor and the hardline on the wall. Cheap, easy, and works great. On one of the older compressors we have had it set up like that going on 12 years without any problems.

I'm using 3/4" piping and want to keep it 3/4" from the compressor to the regulator. I use my compressor to paint and from what I'm told compressor piping size is important. Even the fitting on my hose is bigger. I use HVLP fittings. I actually found a 3/4" flex hose at http://www.tptools.com/product...J3SD2

im wondering where i could pickup a compressor like that, i have a huge commercial compressor now that the motor crapped out on me. would like to replace it with a standup unit.
