My hand made side mount seat brackets
I just finished this project the other day. I wanted to make something sturdier and more attractive than the mounts that came with the seat rail I bought so I decided to make some from scratch to my specific measurements.
I started with some 1/8 mild steel stock and after measuring the distance between the studs on the rail, the width of the seat and the height that I needed I came up with a design.
I had these stainless steel pucks around so I had holes machined in them aswell as some conical aluminum washers. They will be spacers between the brackets and the seat.
I got both sides bent and cut the pattern out with a die grinder, then cleaned that up with a sanding wheel. After that the rest was done with files and sandpaper.
Then they got sprayed with high build primer and sanded down for paint...
Then finished them up with 5 coats of satin black epoxy paint
Im really happy with the results, Hopefully Ill be installing these tomorrow but well see. All in all it took me about 2 months from start to finish between work and other projects. Let me know what you think

Thanks, not planning on selling any since they are so much work to make, plus there is no adjustment so each set would need to be custom made.
