Looks good. Glad you are taking care of that welder. My passed father bought that for me for a gift, so its nice to NOT see it being neglected

That's a nice looking cart. Only thing I can think of that I would add would be a double tank rack on the back of the cart.

Thanks Dave! Hope all is well.
I was thinking about doing a top for it, that would be on bb drawer sliders. That way you could offset the top as a stand up work bench, or remove the welder if need be. It would also protect the top of the welder when its slid to the center.

I thought about that. My last tig cart I made had spots for my rod guard storage tubes. I'm just undecided if they should be mounted on my welding bench or on the cart again. At least a couple on the welding bench would be great if you think about it, no need to get up. On the tig cart would also be nice so you could roll it up to the lift and tig on the spot, more so for just fitting and tacking. Thanks!

I like. I am putting tubes at my station as we speak. I have always had them on the cart, but find it less convenient to have to get back to the cart all the time when there is plenty of space on the station.

Thanks man!
Thanks! Kind of what I was thinking, I don't want to have to get up every time I need another piece of filler, but it would be great to have a few tubes on the cart for when I am tig welding near the lift and not at the bench.
I think I held process and pulse then flipped it on, it displays the hrs.
I was looking at an ad for a used syncrowave and in the pic his was displaying the hrs, I think his said ~1200hrs. So I got the manual out and headed to the shop interested to see what this one had. Needless to say I was pretty excited to see it had such low hrs on it. I thought, damn, to me, this is a brand new machine.
But if this is anything like my dyno, once my dyno had 12hr on it, I think we estimated over 80k of revenue at that point. I know I tuned 6 cars in the first 2.1hr of the rollers spinning.
That's a bunch of welding right there. I think I have only added a few hr to the clock, but even at that, its already paid for it self. TIG welding is more a hobby to me at the moment than anything else. I mainly needed it for my own cars but do offer those services to my tuned customers.

Word, It looked like you were into it as a little more than a hobby. Nice machine, cart, and welds! I love taking the time to make organizational stuff. Its good practice and calms my ocd haha.

Re: Miller Syncrowave TIG Cart
Thanks buddy! I just wish I had more time to spend with the TIG welder.
I say its a hobby, mainly because I am a whole lot better tuner than fabricator. Tuning puts food on my table and pays for everything around me, so I really have no choice to stay focused on the tuning aspect. I guess if it ever comes to a point where I profit more on it, I would consider it more than just a hobby. No one really bangs my door down for tig welding services, I honestly have to give those services away to my tuned customers at almost cost. I spend hours upon hours making a manifold, say I have 6hr invested in a simple one, I might pocket 1-150 after materials.
I tig mainly because it settles me down, it relaxes me. I enjoy it, time just rolls right on sitting at the tig table.
Its different than tuning, tuning world, your talent only shines when a quality setup is brought to you or when people see your personal car doing its thing. Any bad rep I have gotten from the tuning world is from customers that half *** their build, cutting corners left and right, then hold you responsible for it not being 100% perfect once finished. Alot of these stupid kids can't afford it, and dont understand the importance of quality parts. They expect to go from ssautocrome to full race results with just a dyno tune, they expect the tune to fix everything. Not everyone is like this, but helping kids and setups like this are the most damaging to my business.
I'm just very thankful that I get a whole lot more quality setups that come in for tunes than junky ones now a days. We have over a 99% customer approval (900+ maps/3 pissed off "I've never turned a bolt" customers) rate, and as the years go on, that muffles down the haters that do their best to run your business into the ground.
Tig welding is different, no one can argue with something that holds up and looks appealing. No matter how bad the hater hates someone, they have a hard time convincing everyone else you suck when everyone can see it with their own eyes.
Tig welding around here, is tough business, you have guys that have been doing it for years and are really really good at it. I'm a complete newbie compared to most, but at the end of the day, it makes me feel good knowing atleast no one can say I'm not worth a **** at it.
Thanks for your time
