Exactly, I don't know why anyone wouldn't like this. Probably the best mass production v8 ever built in a beautiful Honda wrapper. It's like a modern Shelby Cobra and you guys are whining about weight balance while driving a Civic, LOL.

One other advantage to having a big v8 as opposed to a FI 4 banger is the V8 can make great power NA on PUMP GAS! I love my turbo 4, but I love me some V8's too...

he does a couple minor pulls in the vid and then at 1:57 does a sick little burout , and then shows the cluster is still functional .

It all boils down to owner preference in the end. Some people like that rush of power that a big turbo provides, and some people like gobs of torque off idle and a nice smooth power band. I can appreciate both. I personally love this swap as well as the FD LSx swaps because it takes a great handling, and great looking car and adds a great engine to the mix, resulting in a very fun and very streetable car with a great power to weight ratio.
I second this.

Anyone who HONESTLY thinks a I4 F-series Honda Engine can "make the same power" as a Chevy LSx V8 needs to have their head checked.

I♥Honda and all, but there is a VAST difference between the torque curves of 500HP I4 and V8 engine. While high peak HP, high-rpms are fun and all, Massive mountains of Torque will make you jizz your pants for all sorts of different reasons.

If you PREFER a small, high-revving motor to a large, earth-turning, massive eight cylinder, that is just fine. But understand that neither is "better," it just depends on what you are doing.

I think this is the most badass thing ever made.

A stock f20c is stronger than a a stock LS1.

He didn't say the LS1 was stronger, he just said a stock F20C can't make as much power as a LSx engine. The F20 is a stout motor, there is no question about that, but like the saying goes "there is no replacement for displacement".

Had to quote this again, it's basically what I would have written word for word.

There is nobody making 700hp with a freaking stock F20C1 and anyone who would believe such a thing is the definition of a tool.

I saw a video of King Kong scaling the Empire State Building, so I guess that really happened too . . .
Do YOU know this for a fact? If not, then you're a tool.

Really? That's an assinine statement if i've ever heard one. Do you know for a FACT that a I4 from Honda cannot, "make the same power" as an LS motor? Horsepower is horsepower. It's not different from a V-8 to a 4 cylinder. Did horsepower somehow change it's properties from a 4 cyl. to a V-8? I think you need your head checked.

Is this personal opinion, or fact? I doubt it's fact. Unless someone has put a handicap on the 6-700 HP F20. What would make the 6-700 HP LS any easier to drive than the F20? Explain yourself.

Oh, how i hate this saying. They need to burn it from the history books. Um, unless you didn't get the memo, YES, there is a replacement for displacement. It's called FORCED INDUCTION. Might wanna take a look into it. Someone found out about this a long time ago. Guess they didn't feel the need to tell you.

While this build might be cool to some, i personally wouldn't do it. I'm a Honda tech, and a Honda purest at heart. If I was gonna build an LS, then i'd drive a Camaro. That's just me. I think it's sacreligious to drop an LS into an S2K. To each his own. I'm sure it would be torquey as all hell, though. This build was done purely for bragging rights. I could drop a v8 into my CRX like some on here already did, but why? So i can brag that i did it? I like the challenge of being able to take an underdog Honda engine and build it up to smack down Porsche's and Ferrari's, and Mustangs and Camaro's, too.

Just so you know, an LS2 gets 28mpg highway in a Corvette. S2Ks only get 26mpg. So in a chassis a couple of hundred pounds lighter it will get better. Now days, many V8s get better gas mileage than many of the 4 cylinder performance cars. Welcome to the 21st century.
