How hard you think it would be to make a plate for a J swap to a B series trans??? And I really would like one for a B series to a Chevy auto trans.... Any ideas????

Re: f20c/gm th400 adapter plate
I have a blank plate 28" x 28" (around those #'s) for a K20 to SBC/BBC bolt pattern.
Had it made for a sand dragster, but plans fell through.
Looking to sell it.
PM if interested or know someone who is.
Thnx

No you don't. You have a BMC plate that was brought back to life by Dave and tweaked to make work properly with a converter developed by Dave.
Those pictures are your engine, converter, and plate. Dave is doing all the actual R&D with an actual car which is why BMC doesnt sell these kits

Re: f20c/gm th400 adapter plate
First off, we designed and developed the trq converter plate, the flex plate, the adapter plate.
Dave just paid some money for it. In no where is there a place that he came over and told us how to do our job at designing it though.
Now if they decided to ditch the custom 9" converter that we supplied and used their own AND designed/machined all parts out themselves, then maybe they did, "tweaked to make work properly with a converter developed by Dave. "
I don't know who you are coming on here and trying to give away the credit of a BMCRace project that took start to finish 2 years. The project was put on hold and someone else paid to have it finished, that DOES NOT MEAN that they did any of the work nor development.

As far as Jeff's setup he is not using your converter or anything even similar to the design.
I am not affiliated with anyone so no need to get panties in a bunch. I just like seeing all the cards on the table rather than hiding facts like most people on the internet

Only a hand full of people (MAYBE 5 in total) know exactly what transpired when it came to that adapter plate setup. For you know so much obviously means that you are affiliated with someone....
The adapter setup was originally designed and meant for our own personal car. Due to shifting priorities into our business rather than our toys, we put our car on the side. We have all the right in the world to get my panties in a bunch when someone decides to try and take full credit for it.
Like I said, I don't know what happened with the converter, if they decided to go a different route then awesome, and kudos for developing the parts and producing them.
Lastly, the part was already in the process of being revised because the alignments were off. The part will be reproduced again by us within the next 2 years and our car will be finished. As to selling the adapter setup, we can do so whenever we want. We choose not to though because we want to thoroughly insure, on our own, that it is up to standard. Relying on others for information on critical parts like this have proven time and time again to be UN-reliable.
