That is a nice looking piece! I have seen some that I would be scared to run at 3000 rpms, but looks like you took a lot of caution in your machining.

A buddy of mine (machinist) has been doing mine for years. I currently have a D series on one car that's down to 10lbs. And the F23 in my daily sol is down to 12. On the D, he went all the way through between the pressure plate mounting with 3/8" holes. Turbo'd and running up to 8000, it hasn't been an issue in the few years I've been running it. Lookin' good!

Chromoly flywheels for hondas only came out about 10 years ago people have been machining stock flywheels forever. Though i have never seen them done cnc usually on a lathe. The usual costs i've seen to lighten a flywheel is like $60-150.
Eitherway very nice work

I did a flywheel like that when i took machining at the local community college, This was about 5 years ago still going strong. it was on my b16 now on my brothers ls vtec still going strong. i also did a d16 one and never balanced it ran good with no problems till i sold the car. i would never run one unbalanced again after seeing a flywheel explode
