B18 in a non honda car(another conversion)
Started a conversion on my little road race car after I kept breaking dogboxes on my previous engine set up. Wanted a reliable gearbox so the b series fit the requirement.
I am not after massive power but have replaced pretty much everything you can with performance gear be it darton, mfactory, erl, weisco, manley, supertech. You name it it has been replaced. The only standard thing is the cams lol.
ecu is motec m800.
dash is motec adl.
ignition is a motec 4ch cdi.
it has pretty much everything i could need for a race car.
but here it is near the end of the conversion.

Re: B18 in a non honda car(another conversion)
Update. Car is never finished!! What modified car ever is? hahahaha
Well the radiator is in the boot. It looks like this....
Cool air comes from here....
Then exits the car here....
Well it runs very cool with the carbon scoops on. Has troubles getting over 65 deg C.
Without the scoops and just the little ears it sits at 82deg C. I have to alter the electric water pump map and slow the speed down. Easy really.
The electronics controlling everything is MoTeC...
Here are some vids from testing at the track...

and looking ath the driver...

Engine oil temps sit at 95 dec C with the 25row oil cooler.
The car still has so much setting up still so there is plenty of time to get faster times.
Made a front splitter and under tray for the front...
and have started making a full carbon front undertray/diffuser with cannards. It is alot wider as I am also going to make 2.5 inch wider front and rear quarters for larfer tyres.
Car runs well, drives well, makes good power.
The conversion was a WIN!!

Nice work man. Crazy how we sink 10 times the money in our electronics than the actual value of the car we put them into.
