Default ASK : Twin Scroll Exhaust Manifold Pairing??? Papadakis exhaust strange..

plan to built twin scroll exhaust manifold for BW S366XL (AR 0.91) on 2.3L

with our 4 cylinder firing order 1-4-3-2, the best pairing for twin scroll manifold was 4-1 and 2-3, then dumped out in the turbine divided inlet housing.

But, i saw a stephan papadakis exhaust pict (dont remember what chassis on it, but its yellow honda), they do 1-2 pair and 3-4 pair, then using two long runner before attached to the turbine divided inlet housing, just like long sequential 421 header in All motor.

is there something "new tehc" on stephan papadakis exhaust?
from what i know, we should pair the exhaust runner from the most far firing order, thats why 1 paired with 4, and then 2 paired with 3.. so the exhaust pressure from cylinder wouldnt effecting much back pressure to the other cylinder in the next firing order cycle...

i plan to build a twin scroll exhaust for my BWS366xl 2.3 motor.... (its not the my all motor B, but other engine)
please gimme enlightment..

thanks

I thought Honda's were 1-3-4-2, which would make more sense for the pairing you have listed. That said, doing this on 4 cyl's still puzzles me as they have an even firing, where the spacing is always the same.
Considering there is always an even amount of rotation between pulses, the pairing the cylinders 1-4, and 3 and 2 would place the pulses as far apart as possible on this particular firing order.
I am building a Subby twin scroll right now, in the 4-2-1 fashion you have listed above, and because of the firing order, I have paired the cyl's according to the largest number of degrees of rotation between pairs.

look at this.. this is uncomon pair for 1342 firing order..
it just sequential like NA tri Y 4 cilinder header..

why is that???

get a life??
yes, its life, live from the event.

for me its not deat thread, since im building my exhaust started from last week but still cant find any information about how good is 1-2 and 3-4 pairing,
even though i've search this whole thread there is no honda guy in here that able to explan this papadakis pairing method,

oh ya, just not papadakis only, but T4 divided be FFTEC also do sequential pairing for twinscroll turbo....

last time my 2.3 S366XL 0.91 hitting 615AWHP dynodynamics (this was evo) with simple log manifold, so if i could do some learning i hope i could make better exhaust for it on for my turbo'd honda....

but yeah, nobody here want to discuss 1-2 and 3-4 sequential pair vs 1-4 and 2-3 pair....
