I did what so many told me is impossible...utilized the stock D16 transmission. I had a VW trans and could have done the adapter thing, but man I hate everything about VW everything :-) The Honda gods would have rained down **** on me for bolting up a VW tranny to my lil D16. I'll post a thread with plenty of pics of the rail later.

I thought you were going to boost it? Or swap it or something?

But it looks good so far. What bender did you use to bend the tube? Or is it pre bent?

What collector are you using?

I was going to boost it, but I purchased a H22 that I will swap in later, and save the boost for that one :-) I just bought a random selection of pre bent tubing, my bender won't bend thin stuff, and not at radiuses tight enough :-( I am going to make a low angle merge collector just like the ones I make for my turbo manifolds (but out of 1 3/4" tubing, not 1 1/2" pipe). After the merge I will have a 2.5" mandrel bend out to my custom muffler. The muffler is a stock muffler from a CBR929 that I cut down and welded it back together, I'm curious to see what it sounds like on my rail. I know it will kill some performance, but I want it to be mellow. We put a Hayabusa muffler on my buddies Civic once and it sounded bitchin! We'll see...

thanks, I can't wait to get it done, summer just started and I feel like I am going to run out of sunshine soon. I gotta get this 'rail done and out there. I am going to build one of these for B-Series and put it on the dyno to see how it performs...stay tuned.

No no, I didn't mean that those with fab threads were dorks :-) I guess what I meant was a while ago I got called out by a HT member to show pics of what I can do. I think this guy was under the assumption I was just some geek off the streets and wasn't handy with the steel :-) <REGULATORS!!! haha. Anyways, I don't have a official fab thread yet so they were just pics in a unrelated thread. Thanks though weiR, its good to hear from a guy with as much talent as you have.

I finally got a chance to finish this header this weekend, and as promised, here is the end result (sorry for the lame camera phone pic) I'll take some better ones if anyone wants to see them. 1 3/4" primaries, true merge collector, 2 1/2" after the collector, to my custom chopped CBR929 muffler.
