I am restoring a friend's car... I want to buy a complete D16Y7 or Y8 with an auto transmission. Anyone have one or know where a good place to get one for a decent price would be?

I don't need the ECU if it's a Y7. I will need the ECU if it's a Y8. How much I am willing to spend depends on how many miles the motor has on it and what condition it is in. Why don't you tell me what you have and what you want?

I could guess

it's a low mileage motor with a spun bearing blown headgasket cracked rod no valves and broken sensors and a missing intake manifold and no valve cover with spray paint everywhere

or

you could be more specific about the condition of it and what the price range your looking for since I can get another d15bvtec for that price but would like a u.s. motor so I can go to any dealership and get parts replacments for it while it's being built

Shipping is to be paid by the buyer. Oil is clean and the whole motor itself runs like a champ. Motor is from year 98 so I will have to say that it is Obd2-a.
