So. Cal - Ventura - '96 GSR for sale - NON-RUNNING
This is a definite fixer-upper, but probably not too much work for someone properly motivated. I haven't dropped the pan yet but it APPEARS that the front main bearing gave out on this engine... dunno how much collateral damage was done in the process. I would fix it but I already have my WRX and I'm just not driven to do anything else on this car.
The car is Black and in "fair" cosmetic shape - overall pretty good, but the front bumper is VERY rock-chipped and was victim of a very poor paint job from the previous owner. You'll probably want to give it a respray or swap in the front bumper of your choice. Leather interior shows typical wear on the driver's side bolsters, but overall interior is pretty good. Car has approx. 135k on it (long highway commute), but I estimate about 30k was on a B20b that I swapped in for awhile when I was turbocharged.
Car has:
ITR tranny w/ LSD (approx. 50-60k total miles)
ITR front brake conversion, SS lines all around
Comptech suspension - koni struts, springs, front strut brace, 22mm rear sway
DC stainless header
DC short ram intake
Comptech SS catback exhaust
Fluidyne radiator
BRAND new clutchnet clutch - type 1 pressure plate and "smooth-lock pro" disc
Oh, and it has '95 GSR (5-spoke) wheels on it.
Handles great, stops great... just doesn't RUN great right now
Could be a great starting point for someone with the time and resources to make it happen.
I'd like to get about $3000 out of it, which I've had offered from a couple of buyers, but they've fallen through at the last minute.
dbmanning@sbcglobal.net (don't PM me on here, I rarely check them)

Re: So. Cal - Ventura - '96 GSR for sale - NON-RUNNING (C uR eX)
Wierd, my picture host must be acting up.
It's a GSR w/ nonrunning B18C1 engine in it - I had run a B20 in it for 30k-40k miles while I was turbocharged just for to trade off a bit of compression for displacement.
It has typical parking lot dents in the doors, and the front end is heavily rock chipped - the front bumper and hood needs to be repainted, but there is no severe body damage anywhere on the car.

For all interested, I've got multiple offers of $2k, just need to find someone ready to come pick up the car.
I've also got an extra JDM B20B in my garage; the head and block are separated, but the engine is in good running condition - I'd sell the car and the extra engine for $2300 and you could either drop in the B20 engine OR attach the GSR head to the B20 block (oil port and dowel pins already drilled, I'll throw in the oil lines) and have a B20-VTEC GSR.
