Default 2000 Type R for $12900 firm (GREAT SHAPE)

Looking to sell quickly. Yes it has a salvage title. I am in Colorado. Email questions to heavydman99@hotmail.com. A picture can also be found at http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...ist=8
You guys are mean on this site so i am expecting flames from hell...but please refrain, it is a fair price, and it will be sold with stock wheels and new tires. thanks.

we're not mean to newbies.

we're mean to the fucktards who cant even read the TOS, or realize a salvage vehicle = not worth more than the parts combined.

why would someone buy your itr for 13k, when they can buy a clean titled one (97/98) for 15k?

If somewon had only 13 grand and wanted an R, then this would be the perfect prospect. Or maybe somebody just wants a deal. Or maybe i have the only R for sale in colorado. If somewon can show me a R with 35k miles for 15 grand, be my guest...but check out this salvaged R on Ebay before youflame too hard.

If you are planning to keep the car forever I say its a pretty good deal. I personally wouldnt want to own a salvaged title though.

Its "someone" not somewon

Why not, that is still a good deal whether or not its a salvage or not! Whats all the ******* big deal about salvage? Who gives a ****, if you care so much shut the **** up and move on! I hate ******** like you who always have mad **** to say about salvage vehicles. I have sold over sixtyfive salvage cars in my business and I sell them for retail value just because the cars(ITR's Supra's) are rare. It still holds its value. And its in demand of the public. Good Luck on your sale and to all those ******** who want to pay 1/2 price because a title says salvage.

damn you have alot of pent up hostility

and I think there's no reason for your language

good for your business, we're all happy for you, but here at honda-tech we look out for fellow members and try to inform them that to us "********" and most of the car buying public GREATLY devalue a car with any type of branded title

mabye you should consider this before you spew off at a fellow member

Most car insurance companies will not offer full coverage on a salvage titled car. This makes it very hard to own since the ITR is a major theft magnet. If you were looking for a track car or lived in a rural area I don't think it matters as much. Honestly though, ITRs are becoming so rare that a salvage may be your only option for an affordable R. But that time has not come yet.

The VIN will always have a salvage history.

This is absolutely not true - at least not in all states. I bought a salvage car from Ohio once and my NC title had salvage on it.

that is not a good deal, precisely because it has a salvage title. A salvage title means the car has been through something major, would you trust your life to a car who's history is questionable... be a jerk somewhere else.

How many good condition 2000's do you see selling for 12.9?

All you people hating on a salvage title (the majority of H-T) aren't going to buy it anyway - which means you only clicked on the thread to talk **** to the guy.

I looked just to actually see the car.

My comment was not directed to the original poster but rather to the other guy who claims to have sold over 65 salvaged cars at full retail. Sorry for not being clear

depending on how bad someone around u want's it you might be able to get away with the 14K price tag.
though i have nothing against salvaged cars i think that the percise reason people buy them IS because they are much cheeper (in general) so you can afford more of a car for less.
like meny people siad if you lowered it to 10k or 11k you'd probably get rid of it quick

FYI i baught my 01 (clean title/mint) ITR with just under 20k miles for 15.9
good luck with the sale

seems the only way to get a ITR for a good price is salvage.

also, seems that nearly half to the ITR's must be salvage because they are stolen daily. maybe they shouldn't be so low after salvage....I think thats a great price. If I wasn't deeply in love with my turbo GSR then i'd definately jump on that. I've always wanted an ITR just because I love all motor (I had 190whp w/ my GSR on ITR cams last year).

Good price.

<-----would buy a salvage ITR if he had the money or if someone offered a good amount of money for my car.

After reading through all of this because I thought there might be a good deal to be discovered, it seems you already know that you should have put Salvage Title in the title somewhere. You yourself admit to this in your second sentence. I would NOT have clicked on this thread had that piece of info made its' way to the title.

And for those others who make their living selling Salvage Title cars, how come you guys never advertise that somewhere where that would stand out? Like in the title itself, that prospective buyers would be able to see without drilling down? Saves us all alot of time and grief.

No whining.

My mistake... I didn't notice that he didn't put salvage in the title before making my last statement.

This would all be solved if a moderator would move this... direct classified posting IS against the forum rules right?

it's amazing how much ignorance there is on public web forums.

the salvage/rebuildable market is huge in this country. it's a mult-billion dollar industry. i'm also apart of this industry as well.

most insurance companies will offer full coverage on all salvage title vehicles. most will even pay out full market value even if you've purchased a car for less. meaning, if i buy this itr for 13k today and it gets stolen tomorrow. it's very realistic that i will get paid out close to 20k on the car through insurance.

a good number of states (more then half) will transfer the title as clear in a different state.

salvage history cars aren't for everyone. believe it or not, a 2000itr even with salvage history is a good deal. just because no one in this specific post has no interest doesn't mean much.

not really with itr's since they usually are stripped.
however, there are plenty of cars that are stolen, recovered after 30 days with no damage then branded salvage since the insurance companies have paid out on the cars. happens all the time. ever hear of getting a close to brand new 3 or 5 series for half the cost at an auction in almost perfect shape? happens more frequently then one would think.

cut this guy some slack. selling a car is a tough enough task as it is.

good luck with the sale.
