FS: 1993 Honda Civic Si (New Jersey)
Like the title says, here's my 93' Si for sale. Car spent it's first 112k miles as a Florida car. Original owner had it to 106k, 2nd to 112k, and I've had it for the last 7k. It's been here in Jersey from April of 05'. It's completely stock, minus an ACT stage 1 clutch w/ heavy duty pressure plate. Couple hundred miles ago, I had a spring from my stock pressure plate pop out on me. Just took the opportunity to upgrade. Same trip to the shop, put a new cv-joint in, and also had them replace the main seal, as it just started to leak a little. Inspection was just renewed for another 2 years in June. This is just a great car, that I'll most definitely be sad to see go. Perfect to just buy as a daily driver, or to make a beast.
Anyone is more then welcome to come by, and I'm also willing to drive it to meet up with you within a reasonable distance if anyone wants to check it out. My zip is 08010. Asking $6800obo.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: FS: 1993 Honda Civic Si (Ian G.)
thx for the bumps guys......
yeah, I know the price may be a tad high, but I also know it's getting harder and harder to fine a nice, clean, stock Si. I'm most definitely interested in reasonable offers, no lowballers. I would keep it as opposed to just giving it away. I just hope it goes to a good home!

You do realize that that same car 14 years ago sold for $7800 dollars right?
Holy outrageous crack smokin price bro.
No offense but you'll have the car the rest of your life unless you knock off about $4,000 or so.

Re: FS: 1993 Honda Civic Si (one bad dx)
Of course I do. I also am of the opinion that this is one of the most desirable cars that Honda's ever made. Do you think that way? Perhaps so, perhaps not. I would never take 3k for the car. I wouldn't take 4k for the car. It by no means would be in my best interest to sell it for that price. I don't NEED to sell the car, just probably SHOULD sell the car.
There's not a spec of rust on this thing. Engine runs great. Brand new clutch & pressure late. Get's mid to high 30's for gas, and just all around awesome to drive.
Since I've had it, oil got changed about every 1500 miles. Have a new filter & mobil 1 to change it now, but if it sells soon, I'll just hand over the bag instead of changing it.
No offense taken, and appreciate the bump!

You'll get way over book for it. Don't listen to lowballers. The car is extremely rare. People who have money will pay good money for it.

I'm not a lowballer, I have no interest in this particular car. I was just simply pointing out that if he's honestly looking to sell it then he's going to have to lower his price.
In my area I buy R32 Skylines for that price and register them as a "classic car" with no problems. So like I said, I'm not interested in a economy car vs. having a R32/FD3/Soarer....name it.
I just dont see where this car is worth anywhere close to the asking price and the sad part is he will probably get way too much for it as he probably payed out the *** for it as well.
Reguardless, good luck with your sale and hope you get what you'd like for it.
Nick.

Re: (recap)
both r nice...2nd is def. cleaner....and if someone likes what someone else's project was, then either would be the cars for them. i also don't know if they have track of just about every bit of maintenance ever performed on those cars since they left the show room floor like i do. everyone has their own thing...some like finding other peoples projects, some like finding completely stock/clean vehicles with thoughts to make it their own. I am the later of the two, as I hope the next owner is.
Never have I once stated that the price was 6800 firm...it states obo...you don't see people asking for 3200obo and getting 6200 for it do you? start higher, and begin negotiations....

Re: FS: 1993 Honda Civic Si (puffallattastuff)
Looks like ride height is too low for a completely stock Si. Any idea what the shocks and/or springs are?
Also, given that some suspension parts are not stock, are there other non-stock parts on the car?

Re: FS: 1993 Honda Civic Si (yobtah)
Yobtah, your absolutely right! I forgot to mention the springs. They were on there when I bought it. I believe it's dropped 1 1/2" in the front & 1 3/4" in the rear. All other suspension pieces are stock. The Si rims were bought brand new in 05', so their obviously not stock either. The only other things not stock on the car that I've mentioned, are the ACT stage1 clutch & pressure plate that was just installed about 300 miles ago.
