rebuilt NC title. damage was at rear 1/4 and was not extensive, but it still recieved a salvage title.
44k miles
new tires, 225/50/16 Hankook k106
new clutch, Exedy stage 1
new flywheel, ACT Streetlite
almost new omnipower coilovers
new CDT component speakers running on a memphis 150x2 amp, with an alpine 7977
catless uppipe
catless downpipe to stock mid pipe/axle back
greddy type S bov
dual projector headlights
h-brace
right now, the car does have some issues. i put a new tranny in the car when the first one **** out on me. the tranny was said to be perfect...and after install it made/makes a rattling noise....and there was no 2nd gear. the car still drives in 1, 3,4,5 perfectly fine....so, yeah, that sucks. i was out almost $1000 over that.
the car needs new front axles and a new balljoint for the passenger side. the threads on teh ball joint are destroyed and it DOES need replacing. The passenger side axle was pulled out of the boot on the tranny side and you could prob just get a boot replacement and be fine...but, personally, i'd get a new axles. the driver side has a cut in the boot, came like that...and i just never got aorund to fixing it since it hasn't really hurt anything. car also needs some brake pads.
car has issues, and it hurts value/resell a lot....so i'm asking $12,000.
For $1500 you could send the tranny to Gruppe-S and get an STI-RA gear set installed that's got closer gears and is much stronger than an OE WRX 5 speed.
For $2000 you can get a BRAND NEW, OE, '04 tranny that's stronger than any of the previous year USDM 5 speed trannies...and afaik it comes wiht a warrenty as well.
For under $1000 you could get a used 02-03 tranny and get the car running really wel as well.
If you wanted to just get rid of the axles up front, it'd not be hard to do a RWD conversion for pennies...so that'd be fun, but i'm not doing it.
The car is costing me a car payment and insurance every month, and i don't drive it anymore....so i want it gone.
