Has about 240,000 miles, and I just drove it from New York to CA in October, and it is my daily driver right now.

Oil has been changed every 3,333 miles. Car has had only one owner to this date!*

This is car was meant to be a track or street race car. Many race this model at around 1,800 lbs *or less!*

WHEN LOOKING FOR 5TH GENERATION CIVIC HATCHBACKS, WHY CHOOSE A*VX?

The 1992 - 1993 Civic Hatchbacks are more desirable than the 1994 -1995 hatchbacks b/c the earlier models are lighter.*

In 1994 Honda introduced passenger side airbags which add a little bit more wiring and weight due to the components.

Out of the civic models in the 1992 - 1993 line up. The CX and VX hatchback were the lightest.*

Why choose a VX over a CX? Well many little details add up to make this a very rare and unique car.

- VX came with lightweight aluminum A/C and alternator brackets.*
- VX came with light weight alumium alloy wheels not steel.
- VX came with front chin spoiler for better aerodynamics
-*VX is pre-wired for VTEC.*meaning swapping in a bigger more powerful VTEC motor is easier.
- VX came with factory oil coolers.
-*VX came with tachometers to see engine rev speeds.
- VX came with the VTEC-E economy engine which gets better gas mileage than any other civic in the*lineup.
- VX VTEC-E heads have roller rockers to reduce friction on the camshafts. As well as a uniquely designed head and a high compression ratio for better efficiency.

The Car is already pre-wired for VTEC from the factory and will be perfect to swap in a bigger DOHC B or K series or SOHC D series motor if desired.

This is one of the favorite chassis / frames to build an ultimate street racer. *For some great VX conversions, look at these stories!:

Hate to take a massive dump on your thread here but let me just point out some things:

Rust on both quarter panels -- This right here is a HUGE job to fix because you need to cut off the sections of the panels that are rusted and re weld new sections or replace BOTH rear quarter panels. Bondo and paint cannot fix this issue because the rust WILL come back.

Large dent on the fender -- Looks like the fender was pushed in so bad that the hood no longer fits 100% on the passenger side, also fender will more than likely need to be replaced.

Hood doesn't sit properly -- This indicates that there was a front end collision (I'm going to assume where the massive dent on the hood is) that resulted in the radiator support being tweaked, which needs to be replaced in order for the front end to fit correctly again. The hood will also need to be replaced, and whats up with the top 2 corners? Did your mechanic not understand he was damaging the hood as he rested it on the windshield?

Dent on the bottom side of the rear hatch -- This is another blemish that is a big job to fix, not something a little bondo will cover up.

Rear bumper isn't even screwed on -- Come on man, you're trying to sell a car. Put some work into the thing.

Another thing. Why do you mention in your "why should I buy a VX" section that the car has a front chin spoiler and aluminum alloy vx wheels when both of these items are clearly missing.

That and the car was a NY car (snow + rust) so there's no telling the extent of the rust damage to the car. Rust is a MAJOR issue when modding a car because most of the time a car that lived in this type of environment has bolts that are seized and other mechanical issues. I am going to assume the exhaust was recently replaced because there was a massive hole in it (from rust) that resulted in the car not passing smog.

All this is on top of it having 238,xxx miles.

Basically what I am saying is, forget about getting anything remotely near $2950. The only thing this car has going for it is it's original captiva blue color, which is experiencing a serious amount of fade on the roof (and I'm not going to lie, the captiva blue vx is VERY saught after), unfortunately the one you have needs THOUSANDS of dollars in body work and other to get this in the shape of an EG going for close to your current asking price.

Plan on getting $1500 MAXIMUM (and that is being reallllyy nice) for this thing.

GLWS.
