1993 Honda Civic VX, H22A
Hello,
Up for sale is my 1993 Honda Civic VX Hatchback. I have owned this car since 2004. I've kept notes on the car since I've had it, the information may be a little inaccurate, but I will do my best
Vehicle: 1993 Honda Civic VX Hatchback
Paint: Formula Red (2012)
Transmission: 5-speed manual
Chassis mileage: ~300k
Engine/transmission mileage: ~40k engine, transmission unknown
Title: Rebuilt (WY)
Phone: (307) 277-1343
Price: $9500, Negotiable
Engine
H22A Block
F23A crank, Crower F23A titanium rods, CP pistons (~13.5:1)
Crower 63423 Cams & Valve train
Injector Dynamics 1000 cc injectors
Golden Eagle Intake Manifold, SMSP Header, custom 3" exhaust
OEM Distributor, NGK plug wires
Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump, 9 gallon fuel cell, custom fuel lines
Moroso 5 quart oil pan
Endyn Oil Catch Can
Fluidyne Harmonic Dampener
P28 ECU with Neptune, last tuned in 2016, 255 whp
This car is tuned to run on E85
Suspension
All the bushings were replaced in 2012, I believe they are from energy supsension
Tokico White Shocks
ITR Rear Sway Bar (I think)
Unknown Brand Traction Bars
Omniman LCA's, camber plates
ASR subframe brace
Unknown Brand Performance Springs
Unknown Brand Pillar Bars
Si/EX Rear Brake Conversion
Exterior
New paint in 2012, Formula Red with a bit of orange flake (I think)
Most of the plastic/rubber exterior parts also replaced in 2012
New windshield in 2013
JDM (I think) headlights
Sidemarkers added
JDM Sir rear wing (I could be wrong)
OEM "DOHC VTEC" decals on the sides, OEM "CIVIC VX" decal on the back
Fiberglass Hood (not very good fitment)
Inner tailights shaved (I think that's the right term)
Golden Eagle Rear Diffuser
Mugen RNR rims on Yokohama S-drive tires
Interior
Some kind of JDM cluster, has a PLX wideband 02 sensor display built into it. The wideband display doesn't work most of the time
Autometer Oil Pressure, and Water Temp gauges
Apexi Turbo Timer (no longer works)
Integra GS-R seats
The rear is stripped, seat is long gone
Kenwood Stereo, 2 door speakers
Known Issues
The oil pan drain bolt is partially stripped
The driver's side window is marked up a bit, it looks to me like someone welded nearby it, but didn't cover it up
The trim around the windshield is missing, It blew off when I was hauling it back from Colorado one year
The car had a salvage title when I got it. It now has a "rebuilt" title
The car uses E85 for fuel. Its probably not an issue for you, but I can't really get it here.
The low rpm, low throttle tuning needs work. Throttle response is very sensitive and the car gets jerky.
This is solved by driving around in higher gears.
Maintenance
I was planning on doing a valve adjustment and replacing the MTF. ( I have the MTF)
The plugs and oil could use changing. (I have plugs)
Alternator replaced last year (Napa)
I was also planning on replacing the battery, the battery is going on 8 years old. The car runs an Odyssey PC680 Battery that has been relocated behind the passenger side rear quarter panel
The tires are from 2012. The car has been stored in a garage, but replacement should be considered.
Summary
I love this car, its a load of fun. Handles great, plenty of power. I would definitely keep it if I there was an E85 pump in the area.
