Car Story:
In 2012 I purchased the CRX off of a friend who was moving from California to New York. He had built the CRX (swap and such) but it had been sitting for 2 to 3 years. It ran when I bought the car off of him, but it needed a tune up, radiator mounts, and radiator fan. The car came with the b18c swap (including cams, valve springs, and cam gears), tranny/clutch conversion, brakes, and radiator. I fab’d and welded on some new radiators, installed an electric fan, and did a basic tune up. I bought the car with the intention of turning it into a street/track set up.
I prepared the car for the track by redoing the entire suspension and adding an oil cooler with gauges for oil temp, oil pressure, and water temp. I also installed bucket seats (on stock sliders) and was planning on installing a bolt in roll cage with harnesses, but right now I just have the stock seat belts. The car is a blast on the track, lightweight, lots of rpms, brakes great, and handles like a go kart. My friends run S2000’s on the track and I have no problem keeping up with them. Its also a beast on the autocross courses. II have completed 2 autox events and 3 track days (time trials) with the CRX. I am currently switching over to rear wheel drive and just bought a Miata, hence the reason for selling. I am in no hurry to sell the car, hence why my price is FIRM. If you would like to reduce the price I can swap some parts but only with a down payment. I AM NOT PARTING THE CAR OUT, so please do not ask.
Cons/Things I would Fix
-Clutch is a bit stiff (I was going to convert it to a full hydro system and have the slave and master cylinder but still need to fab a bracket and buy the ss braided lines/fitting)
-Paint; Like I said earlier, it could use a paint job
-Radiator lower mounts should be redone at some point (or you can install a traction bar with radiator mounts); also, I have the stock honda upper radiator mounts but they need to be installed.
-No A/C
-No Power Steering (not really needed since the car is so light)
-Seat Brackets sit a bit far back (ok for me, 6’ 200 lb); I was going to either mod the adapter plates I made or purchase a corbeau one for the driver side (~$150).
-No BAR sticker (we can work out the smog test if you are interested)
-Intake works good but I would upgrade it
-Stock GSR exhaust header should be upgraded to help high end
-Gauge mount - I have a better gauge mount that needs to be modified but should look much cleaner one installed
Now for the Hotness!
