Default throttle cable problem

My car has been smoking and it smells like something burnt. I finally found out what it was and it was my throttle cable, I opened my hood played with the accelerator and it would smoke. I wanna know if its bad or loose or to tight.

Default Re: throttle cable problem

If the vehicle is off, you open the throttle body, and see smoke then something (coolant, oil, carbon) is burning off in your combustion chamber(s). This has nothing to do with your cable. Check your coolant, oil, and exhaust for any signs of a leak/burnoff/contamination.
