My Kaaz after a hard launch on 22x8x13 M&H with 100 shot viz ZEX.......
Right side clutches had the nubs ripped off......
I need a helical
Also, the class (UMTR) I'm likely gonna race my require DOT rubber next year, I'd likely run 205/60/13 M&H.
MF/GearX 1st, stock second, MF 3rd, OEM 3 for 4th, then a CRX si 5th with OEM 4.25 might be my ticket. No time yet to work the math.....or run my ZC 3-4 gearset with better first gear, FD change as needed.

Look at the OBX cheap cast centers, then look at the MFactory centers.
Seeing the bad casting of the OBX, plus the issue I had with one unit, Aquafina had 2+ bad units, plus other buyers getting wobbly units, I was not happy.
Then OBX states all bad LSD's must be sent back to them for remachining???? WTF????
Yep, thanks, but no thanks. One out of 43 were bad, I lost $35 on it since I had to pay the shipping both ways.

Yes I did Richard. But Quality Control went to hell. I only had one bad unit, Aquafina and others came across the same issues, if not worse!!!!!
Since then I've not installed one LSD, so it has effected my business, but I don't want the hassles with returning a product. The big kicker was the pic Aquafina posted of the major casting flaw on the axle tube where the diff bearing is pressed on.
I'm awaiting his MFactory unit to be released to push on others asking for LSD, or if GearX/Special Performance Motorsports come out with something similar I'll be promoting it.
Right now I'm thinking of rebuilding and getting rid of my Kaaz to a SCCA racer and getting a MFactory unit if I get back into the drag racing arena. Awaiting final rules for UMTR before I jump in.
Long time no talk, Sir

Re: Part 2: MFactory LSD review
So what is so significant about the runout issue? I am not educated in differentials, but from what I see its not an issue- The outside of a moving part being out of round doesnt affect anything does it?
I coudl understand if the center of it was out of round, but its only the outside, with nothing riding on it.
Am I wrong? Please educate me

Re: Part 2: MFactory LSD review
That is of no help to my question. I have enough intelligence that an out of round item does not roll well. What does this part roll on though? Im being sincere when asking this question-
Does the outside of that sit into something with bearings?

Re: Part 2: MFactory LSD review
When the diff spins, it needs to be 100% stable to function properly/efficiently. If it is out-of-round, it cannot do this.
Imagine a baseball spinning on it's axis, then imagine an egg spinning. Which one is more stable when it spins?
