GSR trouble going into gear...some times
My gsr tranny doeskin like to go into gear some times. I have a particularly hard time from a stop going into 1st or up/down shifting into 3rd. It doesn't do it all the time though some times its perfectly fine. It never ever grinds though just doesn't want to go in.
I have replaced the clutch slave with one I had lying around and and also bought a brand new clutch master. Bled the system.
Last year I replaced all bearings I could find in the tranny that were bad.
Maybe the oil in the tranny? I have no clue whats in there prob just some penzoil 10-30 Do you think using honda MTF would help?
its on a turbo LS with a 6 puck sprung clutch from LSD motorsports

its not the clutch its pressure plate do most of the work engaged and disengaged ...if you used back your old pressure plate that is your problem.

Re: GSR trouble going into gear...some times
if the pressure plate is worn down clutch pedal pressure will be light. the clutch disc doesn't fully disengage causing the symptom. it could be the synchros too. first, you should check all the accessible components. since you swapped the booster, slave and bleed the system check those off the list. change the fluid to honda mtf. make sure the car is level when filling tranny with fluid. fill the trans from the top using a funnel with a hose. when it starts to over flow replace the plug. a tranny with too much or not enough fluid can cause similar symptoms. if the symptom continues; it's an internal problem. i know many service manuals say you can use 10-30w, but, in my opinion you should not use it.

thanks for the info guys I will check these things out this week. My tranny looks to have a slight leak but it is very slight. I will change and fill the fluid first if its not that I may pull the tranny and change out the clutch a buddy of mine has an ACT with only a couple thousand miles I may toss in.

So im having problems with my b16a tranny as well. Im a new member so i cant make my own thread. I will post here hoping someone can help.
My problem is similar but very different, everytime the car is cold the feel to the clutch pedal is weird, its too soft and should i say saggy? Also It wont go into gear even if the car is off. The stick shift is super hard and wont into gear or it wont go into neutral if the was turned off with a gear in, no matter which one it is.
It is not until the car warms up that i can put it into gear and once its warmed up to reg temperature operation it shifts fine and with no problem at all, the feeling of the clutch pedal also goes back to normal.
can this be due to a lack of oil going into the tranny? or maybe the cylinder or sleeve??
i have a 92 civic with a complete swap from a 95 del sol vtec
