Default Cracked Transmission (PICS) Help...

I got a cracked transmission, need help and ideas on fixes , I know fixing it is as simple as installing new transmission... But money is tight.. Any info would help.... I tried high temp rtv already.. no luck... And it keeps pouring out the bolt that broke as well..

JB Weld?

You need a case that doesn't have a hole/crack in it. JB Weld will fail. You can try and have someone weld aluminum to it but that may still fail. The metal is oil soaked and the weld will pit. Make sure you do not drive the car with no oil in the transmission. This will seize the bearings up and all of the gears will weld themselves to the main/countershafts due to the heat.

Replace the entire case.
