Default Comp Clutch pressure plate and disc differences

I have a Competition Clutch stage 1 on my b17 cable trans.

Looking to boost and upgrade to a sprung stage 4 clutch.

My question is can I get away with buying the Stage 4 clutch disc or do I have to buy a entire stage 4 kit?

I know everything is the same, my only concern is the pressure plate.

Kits are manufactured to be used as a kit. Given your level of detail, the kit is probably the best option.

I would criticize your use of a cable clutch with a pressure plate above stock, as I have seen many pull through firewalls before.

Oh, BTW, is this on a 2006 Ford Ranger?
