clutch will not disengage above 4000rpms
the clutch has been in the car for about 2000 miles without any issues and one day i just noticed that basically if im above 4000rpms and push the clutch in, it wont disengage until the rpms drop below 4000. im not really sure what it could be. i swapped the clutch disc and that didnt do it, so im thinking master or slave cylindeR? i dont see any leaks from either though. the pressure plate and throwout bearing appeared fine.

Make sure you don't have any air bubbles in the line then, make sure that your pedal is adjusted correctly according to the manual. MC or the sleeve may be slightly leaking. Check under your dash where the MC is and see if you have any fluid coming out of the rubber boot. Hope that helps.

i have spent a good hour bleeding the line and it doesnt really help. the pedal is adjusted correctly. i dont see any leaks at the mc or sc for that matter. im really lost and getting frustrated

i wonder if my flywheel bolts backed out some? i cant believe i forgot to check them when i dropped the transmission last week. but them being even a little loose could cause all kinds of havoc

Could be that your disc is super dry and not disengaging enough from the flywheel when shifting.
Did you lube your disc splines/mainshaft upon installation??

between school and work, i havent had time to take it over to him. its getting worse though; im getting more and more vibration in the clutch pedal. i may try swapping the master and slave cylinder, they are a lot easier than dropping the transmission again

if you're getting more vibration from the pedal, maybe something is loose!!! Could be flywheel or pressure plate.
And if you have leaks in your clutch hydros, you may not be getting full disengagement!

i dont think the flywheel or pressure plate is loose, i have swapped the clutch disc since the problem started and nothing changed; so i dont think thats the issue, guess anything is possible though. im not getting disengagement, so thats why im going to try swapping them.

swapped the slave cylinder, that wasnt the problem. guess ill try the master next. anyone have a brand preference for a master cylinder? oem is like 100, so id prefer to get a cheaper one if they will perform as well.

I think the problem is not the disc but the pressure plate. If you have any stock clutch laying around, try changing your PP to stock one. I bet you you're problem is solve. I found that out after taking the tranny 50 million times.
