how much whp could the stock auto trans handle ?

so if i swap to b series auto im going to need to modify the frame rail? maybe my gf will have to sufferme driving her everywere or learn to drive manual lol, im not sacrificing a bseries swap on account of her and a frame rail

Beyond the frame rail clearance issue, the lack of available mounts issue, there is also the electrical issue end of it. And no USDM ECU available if you need to pass an emissions test.

thanks for the info gentlemen, there will be a b16 in this car by the end of 2014 latest and i do need to pass etest but luckily i have a friend....
are there any serious issues with my planned swap? anything i may not be prepared for?

Don't expect a lot of power, auto (tall gears) + no torque = very slow. Honestly it doesn't sound like a great way to spend a lot of money. Probably better to try and turbo your D with a few lbs of boost, but not a lot, because all the auto transmissions are pretty weak.
