Valve Adjustment/Rocker Arm issue
so i decided to do a valve adjustment today, everything went well until i got to cylinder #2 one of the rocker arms on exhaust side will not open up enough, the gap between is 0.14 however honda specs says it should be 0.16-0.20. I took it out and then checked for any debris and there was none, I decide to switch it with the one from the intake. However the i got the same result,. What can i do. Is it okay to rock just that one like that?

Yep! I have a helms. Plus it worked on all the other rocker arms. Is just this one, I don't even think is the rocker arms since I have changed it, and yet I've gotten the same results.

What do you mean it wont open up? The adjustment range is SO large there's no way you couldn't get it to spec.

Right, but this one valve/rocker arm is not doing so. all the other ones were fine.

Really?! what can cause for the valve to fail.

Usage, detonation, running it too tight"lack of heat rejection", bad valve, nitrous, boost, and it is a mechanical part, i have seen some fail.

I bet b/c it was too tight, the shop i took it to never did a valve asjustment.
All they were all too tight. But I guess this one went first.

Basically if you cannot get "clearance" and you swapped rockers, the valve is to long. Seeing the picture?
