Uneven brake pad ware on wilwood kit can I just change one rotor and pad?
I bought a wilwood 12.2 kit for my honda civc ex 1998. I had the kit on for a while with no problems. When I was bleeding the brake line on the passenger caliper I striped the bolt which caused the brake fluid to bleed out a little each time the brake was pressed.
It was a slow leak and I guess after about 6 months or so I noticed it because the fluid level was low. I replaced the bleed valve and problem was solved. Well I noticed after about another 6 months my pads were squealing so I looked at them. The pads on the passanger side are still very thick and the driver side is worn to almost nothing. I guess that the pressure caused uneven ware. I never noticed pulling while driving but the last few months I felt back pressure like when applying the brakes, so the rotor must have warped.
I'm wondering If I could just replace the driver side rotor and leave the passenger one alone? Is there a way to test the passenger one to make sure its safe? It can't be re surfaced since its slotted and cross drilled. I would just replace the pads with a new set. I want to re use the brake hats, do i need to buy new bolts?
Thanks.
