Main fuel relay causing problems? 95-gsr
When the ambient air temp is hot my car doesnt want to start after driving it. So after searching around for the last two days, it seems like 90% of the problems are related to a busted main fuel relay.
It was around 70* yesterday and didnt have any problems all day and drove it kinda hard before I got into work and it would start right back up after I parked it for a minute. Then later that night I drove home and parked it for an hour then I had to move it. I started it up again after 90 seconds later and it started ok but was really rough until I put a load on the engine. If I didnt give it gas and drive it around it would sputter and probably die when leaving it at idle.
I put in new NGK plugs and OEM plug wires last week so that isnt it.
This morning I took out the relay and all the solders look fine. Is it possible a solder joint below the surface is bad?
Only other thing I can think of is the ignitor in the distributor. But it seems my problem seems to be more ambient related but not engine temp.
I have a few pics of the main relay.

If the solder points on the relay are bad, it'd be hard to tell in the pics. The cracks are usually hairline.
If you want to eliminate that variable, just hit all the solder points again with a soldering iron. It takes two minutes.
