I'm trying to get a deal worked out with KMS for testing of their manufactured components. I'm a student at GT and have access to some of the material testing labs, but it's a lot of bureocracy to work through to get in there. If all goes well, I'll be able to produce data on the strength and durability of many of Kauffman's parts, including his Ti valve spring retainers. As for now, it's just a matter of waiting for me to get access to the fatigue machines...

Re: kms engine developement titanium retainers (DaX)
They claim to have there retainers made from 6al4v grade titanium. That grade of titanium is strong stuff.Alot of jet and airplane parts are made from it.you should seek a hardness tester and get the rockwell hardness of that titanium.
