Default Just dyno'd the car, now I have questions.

Crossposted from the Integra forum because hardcore tech seems to scare those guys.

The numbers are lower than what I expected, but not by much. I'm not as concerned with that as I am with the huge lean spot between 4 and 5k. As you can see, it's air in, torque out. Never mind the fact that peak torque should be made 1 - 1.5k higher in the rev range.

This is my 98 Integra RS. The only "power" mods are the CAI and cat-back. There are no codes. I would expect a stock engine to put out these numbers (again, the lean spot is more of a concern - I think addressing that will improve overall output). I know, I know...it's stupid to speculate on dyno numbers.

Anyway, I plan on doing the following tomorrow:

clean air filter (it's only been about a year, but it gets dirty fast)
change fuel filter (it's been 50k since I did that ) - DONE
clean MAP and IAT sensors - IAT DONE - I can't get the MAP loose. The IAT had a pretty generous coat of oil on it too.
clean throttle body
clean intake tubing (I think I over-oiled the filter last time ) - DONE
replace spark plugs (probably not at fault, but it's $8 and 15 minutes of time)

Does anybody have any more suggestions? Has somebody encountered a weird, isolated lean spot like this before?

Nope, just a V1.

looks kinda strange.....a little lean in the midrange and very rich up top. with those small mods it really should not affect the air/fuel ratio that much.

you could benefit from having a custom ecu tuned for you to smoothen things out if thats what you want you will notice more power from the mid-top end if you had it tuned out properly.

if you don't want to go through all that try replacing your primary o2 sensor and check your ignition timing............thats all you really can do. OR put your stock intake system back in and try again.

but i would like to say that the power output is pretty much where a mostly stock LS engine would be.......maybe only a slight bit lower than average.

Yeah, I thought about putting on the stock intake too.

So the primary O2 is the one that I should be concerned with? I changed out my plugs (gapped 'em for the first time ever...they were all WAY off too ). The butt dyno says it's a little smoother.

I may as well get a custom tune. It's only a few hundred and could potentially help more than my current bolt-ons.
