Default Clutchnet.com reviews? any good.

I was just wondering what people thought about clutchnet clutches. I just ordered a 6 puck unsprung stage 4 with pressure plate for 325 shipped. I was told they are really good but wanted to see what others thought. I have heard bad things about cc, and act so i thought i would go with this.

They are a vendor to several clutch companies, meaning they supply disks and such. Some of the bad things that you hear about clutches from other companies are actually made by clutchnet. Also, some of the good things you hear about other companies are actually made by clutchnet.

My own experience with a clutchnet disk is bad, especially with their unsprung disk. The teeth in the hub stripped and had damaged my input shaft in less than 15k miles.

Since you already ordered it, I would inspect the hub teeth very carefully before putting it on. Check to make sure that it fits tight to the input shaft with no play.

Customer service sucked too when I called them about why it stripped. They said it was due to the way I drove and the abusive nature of racing. Regardless of how I drove or how I abused the clutch, it should of not failed at the hub splines (maybe the friction material gets worn, glazed, etc.. but the friction material on my disk was fine)

The other BS they gave me was that they make the hub spline out of a softer material than the input shaft so that it would not damage the input shaft, but damage was done to the input shaft and I had to replace it.

ordered a clutch from them back in the day for my race car project
everything was ok, except they sent me the wrong throwout bearing
after couple of weeks of trying to nail down the problem, sent the bearing in and got a replacement in a timely manner
worked just fine afterwords
