clutch chatter
check my sig for the car. i just replaced the clutch on my car yesterday. i had the flywheel professionally resurfaced, and used a complete exedy OEM clutch kit. the job went well, no major snags. anyways, when i slowly engage the clutch at low rpms(under 1500rpm), i get chatter. once the clutch is totally engaged, the chattering is gone. if i slowly engage the clutch at higher rpms(2000+rpms) theres no chatter. the chattering has gotten less since ive put some miles on it. the clutch is adjusted corectly, theres a little play at the end and the clutch grips VERY well. so is this normal? other people i talk to say thats normal until the breakin period is over. btw, what is the normal break in length(miles) and how hard can you drive it in the break in period?

Re: clutch chatter (DX-R)
Once a chatter, always a chatter... its time to face the facts and get used to the chatter cause it always going to be there.. My ex-girlfriend was also a "chatterer" and wouldn't shut the !@#$ up even after the initial relationship "break-in" period.. so I traded her in for a new one, but thats another story..
