Hi everyone,

Is there a way to bypass the oil pressure sensor at the block? Everything that I search for results in vtec oil pressure bypass. Anything for the engine block?

Thats just an pressure switch for the low oil pressure light on the gauge cluster

Thanks! Is there any way to bypass it without just taking out the cluster bulb?

will not having the pressure switch plugged into the sensor trigger anything for obd2?

Not sure about OBD2 but I believe the sensor grounds when the pressure is low, so just disconnecting the sensor should stop the light from being on. If its the opposite just ground the wire.

Idk why you would want to get rid of it though. Its can be pretty useful. I replaced my sensor with a higher pressure one so I know if the pressure is below 15 psi, which is a lot more useful than the ~5 psi on the stock sensor.

If you don't want the light to come on just unplug the sensor. It's a normally open switch.

No. It’s one wire straight to the cluster. It does nothing with the ecu.

NO !!! It is not connected to the ECU in any way... it is simply a warning light on the dash to "tell" you when your oil pressure is lower than 7psi. If you don't care about that, you can certainly unplug it and the light will never come on.

i messed up the OEM port on the block and got it welded shut then installed the oem pressure sensor to a greddy oil adapter which for the most part works but Im looking to simplify my setup since I got rid of the turbo. The motor is CA BAR certified in my car so I didnt want any CEL in result of removing the sensor all together.
