If you're going aftermarket, just get Function7's. Worth the little bit extra over Blox and other companies.

Can't tell if rhetorical or not. But no, not because they are "kinda ugly and not shiny". Neither one is best. It's what you prefer. They're both durable; any claim otherwise is just another OEM bandwagon move.

And coming from the king of criticizing, I'm surprised you hadn't noticed that he asked what was the lightest. So the best in this case WOULD be aftermarket (Function7).

So I am seriously not being a smart *** here but what is the weight of the Function 7 vs OEM if you say that the Function 7 is lighter. Not saying the F7 isn't but there is not much to an EK rear LCA.

That is a bit more than I would have guessed. Haven't messed with the EK rears much but I know that simple stamped arm can't be real heavy. The main improvement IMO with the F7 piece would be increased rigidity for a racing application. Good looking part actually and I am really picky.

Lol, I like my OEM **** too, but there's things that just aren't necessary to say "OEM iz da best!" for. This is one of those things. The Function7 LCA has great bearings, looks better than OEM, and is debatably better in durability, however miniscule it may be.

I guarantee he's looking for some kind of weight savings and this conversation has also been had. The difference is negligible.
And where did you get the weight data? I'm curious. NVM. Found it.
BTW. There are people racing with the stock OEM hardware. If F7 or some aftermarket was so superior, I'd think they'd be using it.

So in curiosity to the "superior" durability on an aftermarket lca.
Is there anyone that can start their 10-15+ year test with them?
Considering the age of some stock LCAs, and still having good bushings compared to most.

doubt those bushings are still good. I would only pick F7 because I'm frugal and I don't want to pay for bushings for as long as I own the car. plus I don't own a press.

There's people that have had them for awhile with no problems at all. AND they have lifetime warranty on their bushings. Does Honda?

I was responding to YOUR question. I already answered the OP.

I can pretty much guarantee that he OP is just asking random questions and could care less about which one is lighter. Check the post history. And if you think 5 pounds matters for weight savings then you're delusional. Especially on a daily. Aftermarket LCAs are not needed. Argue all you want.
Now if you want to REALLY answer the question; he asked what was the LIGHTEST, not which ones were lighter. So right now, the question remains unanswered.

The LIGHTEST LCA's are made by my company, which will remain nameless for now. They actually have no appreciable weight, and after you send me $400, you will receive them packaged lovingly and securely. Simply bolt them up and enjoy the extreme weight savings.
BTW, if you get what you think is an empty box, you are simply an ignoramus. Only very intelligent people can see them. To the simple-minded, it will APPEAR as if you have no rear LCA's, but YOU will know better, won't you?

Re: What is the Lightest Rear LCA made for EK? EG?
Weight savings are gained in inches, not miles, so its possible a 5 lb. Savings will matter to some people. More important is the effect on unsprung weight - half of every lb. saved on an lca is unsprung.
I'm not a road racer but I think the major factor may be bushing choice, however. Aftermarket lcas tend to have terrible bushings and few options for bushings. For example if you want to run rubber bushings oem arms are your only option. Function 7 is an exception as their bushings are warrantied.

Re: What is the Lightest Rear LCA made for EK? EG?
The only reason I can see buying aftermarket is for the holes already drilled for end-link location adjustment, and new bushings. My OEM bushings are starting to tear and sadly theres no sense trying to put new bushings into them.

5lbs is worth it to me - not to mention the spherical bearings vs the rubber / poly crap that is out there. f7 it is!

Re: What is the Lightest Rear LCA made for EK? EG?
This is for the weight weenies out there.....I believe our standard EG and EK arms are the lightest out there that isn't invisible. (1lbs 13 oz per side for the EG with standard poly bushings)
We've been making our arms for over 10 years, and we do have customers out there that are still running strong with the original bushings. We do conduct tests on old bushings (from arms on track cars that come back to us for rebuilds etc) and the old bushings still test out to be within "new" spec.

Wait, is that 1lb 13oz total weigh per arm?!
What do stockers weigh?
Is the itr style arm the same weight?
