Default What do y'all think about buying used suspension?

I'm looking at buying my friends Koni Yellow/Eibach Pro kit setup used for 10k miles. Now i've bought used neuspeed sport springs from ebay before and they are sagging now. I had no clue how long they were used though, and I'm not sure if they are the best brand.

I'm either gonna be spending about $400 for the 10k miles used Koni Yellows/Eibach Pro kit or $520 for a brand new KYB AGX/Eibach Pro kit setup.

Id rather have the koni yellows, but if you cant afford them new, i would just buy the new parts.

Im done with buying used stuff.

Then again, is there any way you could talk your friend down a little bit on the price since it's used? How good of condition are they in?

it can be both good and bad....i bought my omnis form a friend- he used em for around 10k miles and they are still great- i bought a omnipower full race setup and and truly glad that i did. if its your friend dont be afraid to ask him a few question about the amount of abuse they have been thru. in the end its your decision

I personally wouldn't buy used suspension unless I was getting them dirt cheap. The plus side is that Koni's are rebuildable, so if you do have an issue with them they should be able to fix them. If you know the person you are buying from, and can inspect the shock over before purchase it wouldn't be quite so bad.
