Shocks and struts for a dx sedan
I'm looking to replace the shocks and springs on my 92 dx sedan. I want to lower no more than 1.5ish inches to keep a good look and be able to survive the pot hole ridden area I call home. I'd like a nice ride that also handles well while playing around on country roads. I'm a total newbie to performance parts for my Honda. All I know is there is no shortage of a aftermarket base for my car. Thanks in advance for the tips and help, ethan.

I'll definitely look into em! Thanks for the input. I was looking around the internet and tein s lowering springs in gold (don't know if the color makes a difference) caught my eye. Any experience with these?

Tein springs come in gold and green. The gold is lower than stock and a little stiffer. The green is lower than the gold and, again, stiffer. The specs are on their site. FWIW, I run the gold on the front and the green on the back. Adds a little stiffness to the rear, as well as lowers it slightly more.

Tein springs come in gold and green. The gold is lower than stock and a little stiffer. The green is lower than the gold and, again, stiffer. The specs are on their site. FWIW, I run the gold on the front and the green on the back. Adds a little stiffness to the rear, as well as lowers it slightly more.

I picked the spring combination because I carry a lot of weight in the trunk from time to time, and I wanted the car lowered as well. Shocks were Skunk2, then Koni orange. I really can't tell any difference between them. Next will be Koni yellow or Bilstein.

Eibach Pro-kit or Sportline w/ Koni Yellows or bilstein sports. Don't mess around with inferior shocks (tokico blue, KYB, etc), get Konis or Bilsteins. They'll last longer, they're built for this kind of duty (lowered + stiffer springs), and they'll actually improve performance.
Koni Yellow and Bilstein Sport are the best shocks you can buy for less than $2,000 (they cost way less than that).

If you plan to actually drive (on a road) with Sportlines..
1.) it's a bad idea.
2.) Koni yellows (or any stock length shock) won't work well.
Bilstein B8's might work. They're shorter. But also monotube. So...maybe or maybe not so good for those springs.
So we're left with:
1.) its a bad idea.
Prokits, on the other hand, are the only lowering springs I'd recommend for stock shocks on *most* hondas. You don't need Koni Yellows to make them work. Oranges are fine. Bilstein B6 are fine too...but may feel slightly "harsher" on some bumps.

OTS koni yellows and a 1.5" drop have been a tried and true combination for years now. If worried about travel, get the GC top hats. Yellows might be overkill, but between the forever warranty and the proven performance it's the best choice. For the small price difference between "fine" and "great", i think it's worth it to for greatness.
Sportlines are like a 2" drop in real life.
You have like 1 to 1.5" total shock travel left with a 1.5" drop on stock length shocks. Total. Not "before bumpstop".
With 600LB springs, my ITR could still bottom out the shock on big bumps (it was dropped about 0.75" from ITR height. So approx 1.5" from stock integra height).
Sportlines are like? 380LB/in? Youd be always on bumpstops...and always be working the bumpstops overtime.
The issue with soft and low springs and extended hats is that your new bumpstop may be your UCA hitting the shock tower.
I never said anything negative about Konis in that equation.
Sportlines are not for driving. They're "show" springs.
I've had a car (EM1) on sportlines that I tried to daily. It was a bad idea.

So after a little more research I'm thinking about going with progress cs2 with 350/250. I've been reading up and I think this along with GC extended top hats would be a good choice to keep it a dD while being able to have a more enjoyable car to drive. Any feedback? And thanks for all the help everyone

The Progress CS2 don't need extended top hats, the shock bodies are already shorter than stock. Use stock top hats with these. I had them and they were a bit harsh (in my opinion) for a DD, so I didn't keep them very long.
I ran Tokico Illuminas with Eibach Pro Kits for years and was very happy with the setup. Handled well enough for what it was and was comfortable for a DD. The mild drop looked pretty good to me too.

By Eibach Pro Kits...he probably means just the eibach pro kit springs.
For a sway bar, you need LCAs that will accept a sway bar.
