Questions about Hardrace super tie rod end.
I recently came across these in a build thread, and found them at JHP. I have never heard of them, or even seen them until 2-3 days ago.
http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewP...idcategory=171
They have a spherical bearing, and are inverted.
I can't find review, or anything about them, other then what is on the JHP site.
My question is, are they worth it? Is the difference, and/or gain worth the cost?

I haven't seen these. But I would think they might be prone to noise after a while like spherical endlinks. Time to Google search.

I did search. I didn't dig deep or anything yet. When I did look, I found noithing but a few sites selling them. No reviews or information about them.
The one thing I did noitce, is the spherical doesn't seem to be open, like my endlinks are.
This is why I am thinking the same time they may not suffer from the usal spherical stuff.
God, I hate my endlinks.

Honda uses spherical endlinks for some of their front & rear sway bars, and those don't make a peep even after 15 years. I think well made spherical bushings can last a looooong time as long as they aren't heavily stressed.

I was condering that. I was just looking around at stuff that might make it's way under my car when i go through it.
I can agree with you though. I am by no means saying sphericals suck. Just mine.
I have heard of Function7 endlinks that don't make any noise, even after years of use.
My blox endlinks on the other hand, suck *****. They are very noisy.
Although, Sphericals are known to be loud, it's just the nature of the beast, I guess.

I don't think so.
I have 99-00 Si sway bars, and they both came with the ball joint looking style endlinks.
Unless, that is what your talking about?
I replaced them, ( I broke 3 of the 4) with blox spherical adjustables.

Good find! I was actually looking into machinging the upright and modifying a set of Comptech NSX front tie rods for my GSR. I like that they are inverted. Not that Hondas have much issue with bump steer, but this is a good option. Good price too. I think I might have to buy these (after Xmas of course, lol).

This is the endlinks for Si's. They run the same sort of thing in the rear, but different from front.

Regular civic's don't even look remotely close to these.

After looking threw about 5 pages on google, I still haven't found anything.
Maybe they are just to new, and not many people are running them?

True.
Which is good to know. I just which I could find more about them. If I give it some time someone will post something about them for sure.

I have asked around, no one has details on them at all. I called Jhpusa to order them for my EK civic. I ordered them but they are on back order till mid December, as soon as I get them I will post a review on them. From the looks of things. They seem to be well made. And if Jhpusa has them how bad could they be? I feel that "hardrace" is going to be like "D2 Racing" come out with good parts at a nice price then when we get the good reviews on them they will jack the price up.

I have a set of those on my EG, unfortunately my car will not be up and running for some time as it is going through a complete refresh.
And I also saw somebody above me say they were out of stock until mid december, which is true. But everything from HardRace is on backorder until mid december for some reason. I am waiting on a bunch of HardRace stuff from JHP

Re: Questions about Hardrace super tie rod end.
It's funny as I just posted about those in another thread here...
They are meant to be used in conjunction with those extended lower-ball-joints (called roll center adjusters). When you install roll center adjusters, it moves the angle of the lower control arm back closer to stock, but none of the other control arms. This causes increased bump steer (and weakens the knuckle too). So now you've paid $200+ to raise your roll center, stiffen the front roll rate, and increase understeer. What's the logical next step you ask????
Why blow another $150 on these goofy tie rods of course!!!! They help fix your new bump-steer problem (allegedly), so you can understeer with confidence. So now what do you do about the increase in understeer you ask???
Why buy an even larger rear sway-bar, and/or softer front springs of course. All to get your front/rear bias back to where it was before you installed roll-center adjusters.......on a street car.....so you can say "I've got all these amazing parts on my super sweet ride and handles like it's on rails etc..."
Now if it was a track car, you would make any and all of these changes based on driver feedback for given track conditions to find 10ths of a second (.1) off lap times. And you would have the budget to support these changes.
Bottom line, there is a lot better things to spend your money on.

Re: Questions about Hardrace super tie rod end.
Look up the old roll-center thread in the RR/AX forum from back in 05 (when the extended ball-joints started popping up). They talk about a lot of the issues with the theory behind them. I didn't read the whole thread, but you may find some interesting track experience (broken knuckle was one issue).
Again... you may see benefits from using these types of parts on a race track..... Just expect to do a lot of testing and tuning to "make" them work. There is always the possibility that these are just being sold simply because people WILL buy them. You have to ask yourself......"Am I HONESTLY having a problem with roll-center and/or bump-steer in my lowered Honda"?
