Hey guys,

I'm in the process of ordering a set of rear swaybar bushings from ES, but the site lists two types of D-brackets for each available bar diameter size. I'm on subframe tearout status and can't find my d-brackets to compare. Help me out?

Column A, or Column B....?

Pretty sure mine look like the first one. You could not use the same bushing with either of those brackets pictured, though, as the curved portion of the bracket have different diameters, and the center of the bushing hole is 3/4" from the base on one and 1 1/8" from the base on the other one.

Wow, gotta hand it to ya. You're right. Good eye Pat!

What blows my mind now, is that looking more closely as ES's site reveals that the two pics above are for the greasable bushings. There are two more for the ungreasable type. Again, I'm referring to options for universal bushings.

2 Greasable (first two pictured; same as above) and 2 Non-greasable (third and fourth).

It appears that #1 for greasable is the same as #2 for non-greasable aside from the thing on top. Still, I'm really confused...

And I also want to add that I did find the D-brackets that was used with my Skunk bar. They are exactly 2" @ mid-point, hole to hole. They look mighty small comapared to ES's options. So that made me recall how these brackets weren't attached to the subframe, but to these other Skunkworks' mounting brackets. These mounting brackets are then attached to the subframe.

Remember: Most aftermarket sway bars were mounted away from the subframe, which attributed to the tearout in the first place (mounting units with inadequate surface contact area).

And maybe I'm going about this all wrong. With the ASR subframe reinforcement plate so commonly used, maybe I should just be asking what aftermarket sway bar, bushing, bracket combo everyone's using since the brackets and bushings I'm looking for will now be used (mounted directly) with the ASR plate. What's the D-bracket mount point length on the plate?

I think they make 2 different versions of each bracket to accommodate a wide range of bolt-hole spacing on subframes. You need to measure the sway bar D-bracket bolt hole spacing and then choose a bracket that will comfortably fit in the range of the slotted holes on the bracket.
