Progress CS-II Unboxing
Thanks to the info on this forum, I am now the happy owner of the Progress CS-II coilovers and I have to say, the ride is still very livable for a DD. As recommended, I got the 350lb front and 250lb rear springs. I actually did the fronts first and drove around for a week like that before I had time to do the rears. As I've heard others mention, the "Feel" is mostly in the rear springs. With the 350 fronts and stock rears, there was almost no noticeable difference in ride feel. After getting the 250lb rears installed, I can tell I'm riding on a lowered/stiffer suspension. For those who are on the fence about what springs/shocks to buy, take my word you will be happy with the Progress setup. Unless you are wanting to scrape your oil pan, then you are probably fine with whatever eBay sleeves you can find.
For fun, I took pictures of the unboxing to share with the group.
Opening the box (This is how they are shipped, NO PACKING MATERIAL??)
Rear shock body
Front shock body
Accessories (bolts, nuts, etc)
How the springs are boxed
Rear 10"/350lb spring and sleeve
logo keychain?
Sticker and instructions
Front page of instructions
Work in progress
I haven't measured the drop yet, and with stock 13" wheels, the drop is not that visible, but I'm sure it will be just fine when I get new wheels to fill those wells.
Like many others that have done this work, all went smoothly until the passenger side rear shock lower mount in the LCA broke the bolt. Took me three nights of blood sweat and tears (and a few broken drill bits) to drill out that 3" bolt left inside the LCA. Funny part is I bought the Energy Suspension front shock mount kit, but not the rear. Had I bought the rear, I could have melted out that bushing and replaced it with the ES.
Again, thanks to the many people that have contributed to this community.

Re: Progress CS-II Unboxing
Mine were 10" for front and 9" for rear. That would have been a real problem, except they labeled them with the spring rate of 350 and 250 so I could quickly tell which was which. Also, the install doc says if you have 10" rear springs to use the lower mount hole on the rear shock.

Re: Progress CS-II Unboxing
I have these on my ek hatch but I have 350 front and 350 rear decent ride in smooth roads, but is a liitle harsh on bad roads. There good coilovers for the price.

Re: Progress CS-II Unboxing
I loved my progress on my old EK. I had 350/350 with the big progress rear sway. I was really happy with how they rode but now that I have some real suspension I know what serious cornering feels like.... just have to deal with everyone on the road thinking I'm drunk as I avoid every crack, bump, manhole cover, and road line.
I didn't get a lanyard or sticker though!
