Default My e brake cable bracket!

Hey guys I'm replacing the lateral arm on my 99 teg and i don't know how to get the e brake cable out of the bracket to get it through the arm. if you know of a link to thread that has a write up on it, that would be much appreciated! thanks guys!

Post a pic of your problem. These are pretty easy to pull normally. Have you disconnected it from the caliper?

You just have to play with it, frustrating but it fits through the trailing arm hole.

i can't get the bracket through the hole, and i don't know how to take the cable out of the bracket.

The cable is held to the bracket with a thin slightly bent clip. It's visible in that picture. Take a screwdriver and pry it off or pliers and pull. It shouldn't be very hard to remove.

i tried that thing is stuck on there. but ill try harder i just didn't want to end up braking it. its really rusty. salt sucks...

Hit it with PB blaster and let it sit for a while and try it again. It shouldn't be very hard to remove. It's only being held on by tension (and rust at this point)

Yea best bet it to hit it with PB blaster, let it soak in then stick a flat head in there and pry. Worst comes to worst it gets a little bent, which you can always bend it back with some pliers.
